Reading is Fashionable

Today we are going to get a little off topic... because it's summer and I am excited!

As an English Lit. major I am required to do a lot of reading--a lot. Majority of the time, I enjoy the books we are assigned, but there is always that itch to read something that won't require a paper when finished. So today I'm going to share my summer reading list. The goal is 1 book a week in which I alternate between a book just for fun and a book that is more... English Lit major-y.

The book I'm reading this week is The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. The husband bought it for me for Christmas and I refused to watch either of the movies until I read it. This is only day 2, but I am already a huge fan. Surely the other two books in the series will be on the list.

Next week I'll be starting F. Scott Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise

I'm a sucker for a good young adult book, Once: Before Midnight; Golden; Wild Orchid

I was supposed to finish this book this semester but got a little behind: Invisible Man

I've heard that these books are 1) addicting and 2) easy to read so I'm going to get The Hunger Games trilogy in, in one week.

I own it and never read it, this is the summer! Beowulf 

Again, I love some girly teen books. Have you read The Daughters series by Joanna Philbin? I think I'm on the third or fourth book. They only take about a day or two so maybe I'll fit in another book this week.
