Get Over It

I don't generally write about my personal life, but today was just one of those days... the kind that you have to share because it was just that bad.

If you don't know me personally then you may not know that I am in my final year of my undergraduate degree for English. Yes, I'm 25 and yes it has been a very long journey. So long in fact that I can no longer get federal financial aid and I no longer qualify for private student loans. And though I'm a bit stressed about having to find the money for this final year, the reality that I have so much student debt that they refuse to give me more debt put me in a pretty crappy mood (there may have been a tear or two shed).

A little comic relief lol
I started doubting everything about life: I'll never have a enough money to enjoy life, I'm going to have to give up my dream of working in the fashion industry so that I can make more money in a job I don't love and well by the end I was going to hate my job and the rest of my life (the me now is rolling my eyes at the me of 2 hours ago).

Don't worry this blog will not end the way it started (read: depressing). Then there is mom, because moms are the best, and she reminded me that the world is not ending, they will not take me to jail because I can't afford all the payments, and that I'm going to do what I love. And most importantly don't let the words of others (read: rejection) affect me.

Which reminds me of my lovely friend Lauren Berger, The Intern Queen, who always says, “You are going to get rejected for the rest of your lives.” So? Well in her words,  "Get over it."

Yup, GET OVER IT KRISTIANNE! So there you go world, only I can determine how  crappy AMAZING my life will be...

How do you stay motivated when things get tough?

  1. Im glad your mom was there to be supportive. To keep myself positive I go back and look at pictures. I know it sounds crazy but it gives me so much joy to go back and look at all the wonderful times, trips, clothes, promotions, parties and experiences I have been through on my own since being an adult who pays for all their own stuff, It encourages to continue living it.

  2. Hey dear. Oh how I understand all of this. I'll be praying for you. These things will end as God planned and He will take you through it all. He'll put in the place you want to be and need to be and will provide you with more joy than you ever thought possible!:)
